Beabadoobee has shared a brand new single, Take A Chew, as the primary style of her forthcoming third album This Is How Tomorrow Strikes.
Set for launch on August 16 on Soiled Hit, the album is the follow-up to the artist’s UK Prime 5 album Beatopia, launched in 2022, and was recorded with legendary producer Rick Rubin and long run collaborator Jacob Bugden at Rubin’s Shangri-La studio in Malibu, California.
In a press release asserting the album, Beabadoobee says that it has “helped me a lot greater than the rest has in navigating this new period, this new understanding of the place I’m at”, including, “I suppose it’s about turning into a girl.”
“I believe I’m extra conscious of my actions in these songs,” the singer reveals. “In my earlier data, I might persistently sing about my response in the direction of different folks’s doings, like a blame sport. However on this report, it’s accepting that there’s an inevitability of my fault in there too. Whether or not it’s childhood trauma or relationship points, it takes two to tango in all the pieces.”
Talking about Take A Chew, the London-based singer/songwriter says, “It’s me feeling introspective about my ideas and unhealthy way of life. It’s discovering consolation in a well-known place – discovering consolation in chaos, as a result of that’s what I do know. So I deliver it into each side of my life, particularly with relationships.
“It’s simply tapping into this a part of my mind the place I simply leap straight to essentially the most adverse, most chaotic thought ever recognized to man and make and make that into my actuality.”
