Drummer Carmine Appice has introduced the discharge of a brand new album from 70s icons Cactus.
Temple of Blues – Influences & Associates is the follow-up to 2021’s Tightrope, and options contributions from a plethora of stellar names together with Joe Bonamassa, Dee Snider, Pat Travers, Warren Haynes, Vernon Reid, Steve Stevens, Ted Nugent, Johnny A (The Yardbirds), Ty Tabor and Dug Pinnick (each King’s X), Billy Sheehan (Mr Large), Tony Franklin (The Agency, Blue Homicide), Tim “Ripper” Ownens (ex-Judas Priest), Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne), Kenny Aaronson (ex- Joan Jett and The Yardbirds), in addition to members of Authorities Mule, Vixen, Rainbow, Zebra, and Whitesnake.
Unique Cactus guitarist Jim McCarty additionally seems on the album, as does Appice’s Vanilla Fudge bandmate Mark Stein, who sings on a canopy of Little Richard’s Lengthy Tall Sally. Full tracklist under.
